Willkommen am Institut für Immunologie !
Das Institut für Immunologie wurde 1967 als erste universitäre Forschungseinrichtung im deutschsprachigen Raum, die sich ausschließlich der immunologischen Forschung widmet, gegründet. Das Institut bietet ein internationales Forschungsumfeld mit fast 50 Mitarbeiter*innen aus mehr als 15 Ländern. Ein wichtiger Schwerpunkt der Tätigkeiten des Instituts liegt auch in der wissenschaftlichen Lehre und Ausbildung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses.
Das Institut für Immunology besteht aus 4 Forschungsabteilungen (Abteilung für Immunbiologie, Abteilung für Immunzellrezeptoren und T-Zell-Aktivierung, Abteilung Regulation des Immunsystems, Abteilung für Zelluläre Immunologie und Immunhämatologie) mit insgesamt 7 Forschungsgruppen, und betreibt ein Labor für Immundiagnostik.
